Orders
When to place my order?
As a small business our products are made to order. You order can be placed up to three days in advance.
How to order?
Find what cake you would like to order.
Add to the cart.
Leave your preferences at the checkout note.
Inform your address and delivery instructions.
Select payment method.
Place you order and wait for confirmation.
Custom orders
Yes we offer custom orders.
Prices differ from the website as all custom orders are made to suit you.
We don't accept orders that we would not like to work with anymore, such as fondant or fondant character cakes.
We do not copy other cake artists designs, if you upload a photo we will only take inspiration from that.
Please order at least two weeks in advance for custom orders.
Weddings
Please fill out the form around 2-3 months in advance if you would like to secure your date.
Check the website for any of our designs and flavour options or we can create a custom cake for your wedding.
We can also offer desserts and wedding favours for your guests
Order Changes
Changing your order
You can email us up to one week before your order date for changes; we may not be able to accommodate your request and additional fees may apply.

Urgent Changes
Please contact our Facebook Page or thatdessertshop@outlook.com as soon as possible for any urgent matters that arise such as change in venue or changing from pickup to delivery.

Delivery
We offer local delivery to Winton and Central Invercargill. For further areas please enquire through our email or add it to your order note, you might get charged separately for delivery as it will depend on location.

How to Care for your Cake
Intructions
The cake should be kept refrigerated under 5 degrees Celsius, the cake will keep for 3-5 days.
Please remove the cake from the fridge around 1-1.5 hours before serving as we use real butter to make our cakes and buttercreams, with refrigeration, butter goes hard. You need to allow it to soften at room temperature to enjoy a pleasant experience.
Do not expose the cake to hot temperatures, heaters or sun light.
How to transport
After you pick up, the cake should be transported on the floorboard of the car to avoid shaking the cake and losing its structure. Please turn on the coldest air setting if possible. If you carry it on your lap or on the car seat, due to the surface being unstable, the cake can crack and fall apart.
For long distances, after pick up, please keep the cake in the fridge the longest as possible before transporting it again.
